How We Began
Steel Horse Automotive was founded by Dan Zawalsky after hearing one too many bad mechanic stories over the years from friends and colleagues. Dan then graduated college, completed his apprenticeship and obtained his inter-provincial certification as an Automotive Technician.
Following his education, Dan worked in several shop environments, from small-town independent shops to large nation chain franchises. After realizing he wanted to start his own shop, a suitable location was found, equipment was purchased and operations commenced in the spring of 2011.
Our code of ethics
Above all, do business with honesty and integrity. Never sell a part or service that’s not required or justified. Retain all removed parts until such a time that the customer may inspect them. Ensure all waste streams are disposed of in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner.
Our Mission Statement
- To be the automotive service provider of choice for those who seek quality, value-added automotive services offered in a clean, welcoming environment.
- To build long-term relationships with customers based on trust and convenience, while providing them with the services and parts they require to match their automotive needs. Never sell unnecessary parts or services.
- To work diligently to ensure complete customer satisfaction. In the event that we ever fall short, we must not only correct the issue, but also amend our operations to make sure we succeed tomorrow.
